The battery storage lasts throughout the night time and into the next day. Once the batteries are recharged from the solar, Peter sells surplus energy back to the supplier. Thus, cutting his energy consumption from the supplier by 2/3rds (at £0.37 per KW) and generating revenue from the surplus.
